Citizenship

Age
- over 20 and under 36 years of age - over 20 and under 50 years of age
Education
- Minimum of 2 years of high school or business school - College degree, or 2 years of college work, plus at least 2 years of acceptable business or professional experience
Physical Condition

Martial Status

If the application was accepted, the women were requested to report for an interview, an aptitude test, and a physical examination.
Officer
Any enlisted member of the Marine Corps Women's Reserve who had completed her basic training course could be recommended for Officer Candidate School.

Payment

The payment was the same as for male officer's and enlisted men's without dependents. Additionally, women marines received complete medical, hospital and dental care free for the duration of enlistment as well as food and living accomodations. Life insurance was offered at same low rates as to men. Special benefits like free mail privileges, discounts on transportation, theatre's, many hotels, clubs, restaurants etc, and the same benefits from U.S.O, Red Cross and other similar organizations as provided to the men were given to the women.
